Rudy is a native of Southern California and now lives in Northern California’s Bay Area. He received a BA in English Literature from UCLA before heading to The University of Michigan for Law School.
He started his career as a lawyer working in Los Angeles and New York on finance and capital markets transactions. After several years, he quit his role at a major Wall Street firm to launch a business, an endeavor that eventually led him to business school at Darden at The University of Virginia (where, mind you, he received a full scholarship from the Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship). He spent his MBA summer internship with Lehman Brothers where he witnessed big deals, good times, and of course the largest bankruptcy in history. More recently, Rudy has done deals in the real estate private equity space, and he currently works as a Division Finance Manager with a leading healthcare firm in California.
Since business school Rudy has been enjoying the excellent quality of life of the Bay Area. When not working, Rudy can often be found trying new restaurants, taking his dog to explore new places, and whenever possible…both at the same time.
