Before starting her own venture, Katty was the Director of Marketing, Admissions, and Career Services for the IMD MBA. She led a multi-cultural team to design and implement innovative marketing strategies and provide world-class admissions and career services for the IMD MBA a worldwide top ranked MBA program (#2 worldwide The Economist 2009, WSJ 2009). One of her first projects at IMD was to revamp the admissions process to fit the IMD MBA 2000 repositioning. With the team she put one of the toughest admissions programs in place: a 5 step process which does not only look at the written application but actually runs every candidate through a full day assessment center, testing their soft skills as well as hard skills, fit and motivation. To make to process accessible to all, the assessment center was exported to both Latin America and Asia once a year. As it is considered "state of the art", numerous MBA schools came to look at the IMD Admissions process and even went through it. Katty is passionate about attracting and identifying the best possible talent globally and helping them to define and achieve their career aspirations. She was also a board member of the MBA Career Services Counsel (www.mbacsc.org).Katty started her career in marketing at Procter & Gamble in the USA as part of the Folgers brand management team. She came to Switzerland to manage the Vicks brand and then moved on to lead all marketing activities on the Hair Care, Personal Cleansing and Male Toiletries categories for P&G Switzerland –12 brands in total.Prior to joining IMD in 2001, Katty was Professor of Marketing at Webster University in Geneva, teaching MBA, graduate, and undergraduate students and a Professor of Hospitality Marketing at EHL where she was responsible for designing and teaching the marketing curriculum in their new Bachelors degree program.Katty grew up in Belgium. After obtaining a BS in Mathematics and a MS in Computer Science at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), she received a Fulbright-Hays scholarship to get a MS in Management from North Carolina State University. She is married to a Swiss national with whom she runs a household of 2 teenagers, 3 cats and a dog.
