Ed received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he majored in Finance, Marketing, and Strategy. He also received a BA in Economics, cum laude, from Columbia University.Ed has served as an alumni interviewer for Kellogg over the past six years, and advised MBA candidates who have earned acceptances to HBS, Kellogg, Columbia, and Ross. In addition to his work as an MBA application advisor, Ed has spent over 12 years in the financial services industry, first as a senior investment banker where he drove several billions of dollars of financing deals, then as a consumer and B2B marketing leader.Post business school, Ed led online marketing for the mortgage divisions at Discover Financial Services and Wells Fargo, as well as served as the head of marketing for Affirm, the Silicon Valley fintech startup led by PayPal cofounder Max Levchin. Additionally, Ed has been product marketing lead with Square, Jack Dorsey’s fintech enterprise, that helps retailers start, run, and grow their businesses. While at Kellogg, Ed was an elected member of the Kellogg Student Association, as well as part of the planning committees for Day at Kellogg (admitted students event) and Complete Immersion in Management (new student orientation week).Today, Ed loves traveling, long distance running, trying out new foods, and singing karaoke (he was, after all, also part of the cast of Kellogg’s annual musical review).
