Originally from the Chicago area, Kate Richardson earned her BS in psychology from the University of Illinois and her MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. While in business school, Kate began building her admissions know-how as a member of the Dean’s Student Admissions Committee, evaluating applications and interviewing candidates. She also coached first-year students on crafting strong resumes and developing interviewing skills as a Student Career Advisor. After graduating from Chicago Booth, Kate was a principal for more than six years at Axiom Consulting Partners, a start-up consulting firm focused on aligning strategy, organization, and talent, where she not only supported clients in financial services, nonprofit, technology, and higher education, but also co-managed Axiom’s recruiting process, perfecting her ability to identify effective resumes and qualified candidates from the top MBA programs. Before attending business school, Kate had worked in talent management for Pepco Energy Services and KPMG. Having successfully switched careers into strategy consulting, she is now committed to helping others achieve their own personal career goals. Kate lives in South Carolina.
