Since 2004, Deborah Knox has offered MBA-admissions consultant services. She obtained a Bachelor’s in French Language and Civilization from Princeton University, and achieved academic honors including an award for her thesis, and a magna cum laude distinction upon graduation. After Princeton, Deborah worked as vice president for Scott Calder International, a firm that facilitates marketing for luxury international hotels in the North American business space. At the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Deborah honed her unique skills, focusing on marketing, international business, and entrepreneurship. During her post graduate career in management consulting, Deborah helped clients such as Texas Instruments, Hilton Hotels, and Apple. In the most recent 23 years, Deborah’s work as a freelance communications and marketing consulting has partnered her with exceptional clients. She has done considerable work with noteworthy client Jim Collins, and has offered her services as a researcher and editor for many of his books, including Built to Last, How the Mighty Fall, and Great by Choice: Uncertainty, Chaos, and Luck—Why Some Thrive Despite Them All.

She provides applicants with her insights about the essay, advice about the GMAT, strategy for international and older applicants, preparing for MBA programs for recently graduated students, and identifying and communicating what makes an applicant unique.
