Ben's fascination with storytelling, flair for humor and intuitive understanding of human stories have driven a diverse and successful career in creative writing and education. Ben has supported successful applicants to every top ten business school as well as law schools, art schools, specialty programs such as HBS 2+2 and Masters of Accounting programs, and many others.
As a writer, Ben won regional competitions in high school as a poet and playwright. Ben graduated with honors from Wesleyan University's top-ranked film theory program, where his thesis film won honors and Best Acting. Ben's subsequent films have screened at Outfest, the Big Apple Film Festival, the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and dozens of others, and have been distributed worldwide through companies such as Ouat! Media and the Mini Movie Channel. Ben's film and television writing has been honored in international screenwriting competitions with thousands of entrants.
Ben has taught at the undegraduate level at Columbia University and Curry College, administered an eight-week filmmaking workshop to underprivileged NYC teenagers through DCTV's Pro-TV summer youth program, where he guided students through the entire process of making a short film, and led a discussion section of an American Film Studies class originated by Andrew Sarris.
Ben is also honored to bring his commitment and expertise to HGRM, an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Acton, MA that provides household goods, free of charge, to people in need, as a volunteer and participant in overhauling HGRM's digital and media presence.
Ben is thrilled to bring his insights to his Forster-Thomas clients, and looks forward to helping you give voice to your life story.
