Admissions Unlimited is a partnership between Mennette Larkin (Austin, TX) and Cristina Freeman (Barcelona, Spain). After earning Literature degrees from Claremont McKenna College and the University of Chicago, Mennette realized she didn’t want to become an academic after all and started working in admissions for the GSB (now Chicago Booth). She returned to California and became the Associate Director of MBA Admissions for the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business where she made thousands of admissions decisions for both full- and part-time MBA programs and saw a wide range of candidates. Since 2007 she has been advising candidates on their applications for admission to top schools in the U.S. and Europe. Her clients have hailed from all over the United States as well as from Canada, England, France, Germany, Slovakia, Norway, Iceland, Turkey, Russia, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Dubai, India, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Chile, and Puerto Rico. She loves hearing each person’s individual story and helping to transform tentative thoughts into confident essays. After receiving a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a Master’s in Latin American Studies at NYU, Cristina discovered that she enjoyed helping people during pivotal transition points in their lives, whether they were embarking on overseas experiences at AFS-USA or beginning graduate school as a Fulbright grantee at the Institute of International Education. Cristina moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2000 and recruited candidates for IESE Business School’s full-time MBA program for four years. Since then she has been helping aspiring candidates maximize their chances of admission to top schools, writing résumés as a Certified Professional Résumé Writer, and contributing articles to newsletters and online journals. Cristina is fluent in both Spanish and English.
