Shana is an extrovert, passionate about meeting new people and making the connection. She thrives on building new and meaningful relationships and forming true friendships. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Shana comes from an extremely international background – Middle Eastern grandparents (from both sides), an American mother and Brazilian father.
While pursuing her BA in Economics, Shana spent a year abroad in Paris where she learned fluent French and had the opportunity to travel all over Europe. After graduation, she worked for a financial advisory boutique firm, mainly advising family businesses before joining her own family business, a manufacturer and distributor of textiles and accessories.
At Wharton, Shana earned her MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management. After her summer internship at J&J Medical, she went off to live in New York, working for Henry Schein Inc, a fortune 500 provider of health care products and services to the dental, medical and animal health segments. Shana returned to her family business after two years of Manhattan “work hard, party harder” life and is focused on consolidating the firm’s marketing department and building a digital channel, key in today’s extremely competitive and challenging business environment.
Shana loves spending time with her husband (who luckily was her roommate and study buddy at Wharton) and two kids (Eva 5 and Gabriel 2). She enjoys planning and daydreaming about amazing trips and new family vacation destinations. Even though time is a scarce asset, Shana’s hobbies include: reading wonderful novels (among her all time favorites are Ken Follett and Steig Larsson), testing new and healthy (animal free) recipes for her family and honing her boxing skills.
